The New York Festivals just awarded filmmaker Scott Takeda the prestigious Silver World Medal which was handed out at their International Television Film Awards banquet at the NAB convention in Las Vegas.
The award is for his short documentary film on AIDS Awareness that he directed last fall through his production company Takeda Entertainment (TEI). TEI was one of five production companies up for top prize in the Social Issues category including agencies in Germany, England, Australia and Russia.
“Once again, I am so grateful to be working with such a talented team and to be recognized by the judges at the New York Festivals,” said director Scott Takeda. “The film was a rewarding and collaborative effort of a lot of people who were working at the top of their talents, especially the folks from BI.”
This is Takeda's second Silver World Medal. He has previously won a Gold and Bronze, along with several nominations.
