We’re back in production mode again this Spring, this time with a recorded Zoom table read of the feature length script of “Remembering Us.” We were able to bring back the entire cast again and add a whole bunch of new characters — totaling 33 actors from LA and New York as well as production hubs like Utah and New Mexico.

“Getting the original cast together was quite a scheduling challenge,” said Wine Dog producer-director Lori Kay Allred. “Even with COVID, much of our cast are working actors, so it took some luck and maneuvering to find a day where everyone was available. “

“And I’m so excited for all of the new people we’ve added,” said Wine Dog’s Scott Takeda. “With the short, we had to limit the story, but now with the feature, we could add backstory and different storylines. Lori and I took a lot of time to find the right people to cast in these new roles, and we’re so excited to see how they’ve brought the story to life.

“Now it’s time to start shopping this project.”

Speaking of working actors, check out CBS in April for Nev Scharrel’s recurring work on the legal procedural “All Rise.” She guest stars as Nikki Gessner in a three episode arc starting Monday April 12th.

We’re excited for long time Wine Dog actor Mike Ostroski who is on-location for a guest starring role on an undisclosed series. Details to follow when it’s ready to air.

Similarly, Scott Takeda is now recurring on the Disney+ series "High School Musical.” His two episode run airs in July.

In festival news, our one minute short “Something In Common” continues its impressive festival slate, this time being selected to the Clean Shorts Film Festival where it’s nominated for Best Shorty Short. The Oklahoma festival was recently named a Top-100 rated festival by Film Freeway and will conduct a virtual festival this year in May.
